An honest comparison between Facturaz and TaxScouts, which has traded as Taxfix since 2025 after being folded into the European group of the same name. Prices are the official ones verified on the Taxfix website in August 2026. Both tools target the same Spanish freelancer, but they solve the problem in different ways: one gives you the software to run it yourself, the other gives you an advisor who runs it for you.
That difference explains everything else: the price, what each plan includes, the learning curve and the kind of freelancer each one fits. Here are the two options side by side, with the real annualized cost and a recommendation per profile.
The 30-second verdict
Facturaz costs €24/mo excl. VAT with everything included: unlimited invoices and expenses, Verifactu, AI receipt scanning, projects with time tracking and your AEAT tax forms calculated and ready to file.
Taxfix starts at €39.90/mo excl. VAT on the Pro pack and rises to €59.90 on Premium and €99.90 on Total. What the extra buys you is a personal advisor who handles your quarterly and annual filings. If you want control and automation, Facturaz. If you would rather delegate to a person, Taxfix.

What each one costs in 2026
Facturaz has a single plan for freelancers: €24/mo excl. VAT, or €240/year on annual billing, which works out as two months free. There are no separate modules and no invoice caps.
Taxfix splits its features across three packs. These are the official prices, excl. VAT, with the discount that applies on annual billing:
| Plan | Monthly (excl. VAT) | Annual (excl. VAT) | What it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Facturaz Autónomo | €24/mo | €20/mo | The whole platform, no add-ons |
| Taxfix Pack Pro | €39.90/mo | €33.25/mo | Quarterly and annual filings, personal advisor, invoicing software |
| Taxfix Pack Premium | €59.90/mo | €49.92/mo | The above plus full bookkeeping, phone support, international invoicing and income tax |
| Taxfix Pack Total | €99.90/mo | €83.25/mo | The above plus unlimited invoice handling, quarterly reviews and up to 3 employees |
Prices excl. VAT verified on the official Taxfix site in August 2026. VAT on software and advisory services is deductible for a freelancer, which is why the comparison is made on the net amount.
The real annualized cost
On paper the gap is around €16 a month. Over a year, with VAT and on annual billing, it reads more clearly:
| Plan | Per year (excl. VAT) | Per year (incl. VAT) |
|---|---|---|
| Facturaz Autónomo | €240.00 | €290.40 |
| Taxfix Pack Pro | €399.00 | €482.79 |
| Taxfix Pack Premium | €599.04 | €724.84 |
| Taxfix Pack Total | €999.00 | €1,208.79 |
21% VAT applied to each platform's annual price. Billed monthly, Facturaz comes to €348.48/year incl. VAT and the Pro pack to €579.35/year.
The gap between Facturaz and the cheapest Taxfix pack is €192.39 a year incl. VAT. That figure does not decide anything on its own: the question is whether it buys you something you need.
Software or advisor: the real difference
Facturaz is a platform. You issue invoices, upload receipts, the AI reads and categorizes them, and the app calculates your tax forms from the data already inside. When the quarter closes, your 303 and 130 are done, with the official AEAT file ready to submit. You do the work, but nearly all of it is automated and visible on screen at any point.
Taxfix is an advisory service with software on top. You send in your invoices and expenses, and an assigned advisor reviews, books and files them. When you have a tax question, you ask a person. Someone else does the work, and your job is to send the information on time.
Neither model is better in the abstract. What changes is where you want to spend your time and how much visibility you want over your numbers during the quarter, not only at the end of it.
What Facturaz includes and Taxfix does not
- Projects with time tracking. Log time per project and turn it into an invoice without leaving the app. Taxfix does not cover this because it is not its territory.
- AI insights and assistance. The app flags a VAT spike before the quarter lands, spots expenses you are missing and answers questions about your own data.
- AI receipt scanning. Take a photo and the expense fills itself in, with net amount, VAT, IRPF and category.
- Everything in one price. No features split across tiers and no invoice caps that push you up a pack halfway through the year.
- Deadline alerts. Every tax deadline reaches you in advance, with what you have to file and how much it comes to.
What Taxfix does and Facturaz does not
This deserves saying plainly, because it is what the price is for. Taxfix assigns you a tax advisor who reviews your books and files your forms on your behalf. If your case has edges, such as activity abroad, several income streams or a complicated income tax return, that human review has value. The Premium pack adds phone support and the full income tax return, and Total goes as far as employee management.
Facturaz automates the calculation and leaves the official file prepared, but you submit it at the AEAT portal yourself. If what you want is to touch nothing at all, that is the point where Taxfix fits better.
Verifactu: both comply
Since the regulation came into force, any invoicing software used in Spain has to comply with Verifactu, and both platforms do. In Facturaz it is part of the plan, at no extra cost and with nothing to configure: every issued invoice is registered with its hash and QR code. On Taxfix, the invoicing software bundled with the packs is compatible too. There is no real difference between the two here.
Which one fits your profile
Choose Facturaz if you invoice on your own, want your numbers up to date, dislike waiting for someone to reply, work by project or want a flat price with no surprises. Also if you are coming from a spreadsheet and want to move on without hiring anyone.
Choose Taxfix if you would rather hand over the tax side entirely, your situation is complex or you simply do not want to think about tax forms. You pay more, but you buy peace of mind and a person on the other end.
Verdict
These are two different answers to the same question. Taxfix sells you someone else taking care of it. Facturaz sells you not needing them, at €24/mo excl. VAT, everything included, your data migrated for you and your tax forms calculated on their own. If you recognize yourself in the second profile, you can start with Facturaz and look at your own numbers before deciding. Full pricing is on the pricing page.
